The Hand Biomechanics Center for Musicians (HBCM) (https://www.hand-biomechanics-center-for-musicians.com), located at Binnenstraat 364B, 9300 Aalst, Belgium, is responsible for the processing of personal data as shown in this privacy statement. J.N.A.L. Personal data processed at the HBCM

The HBCM uses your personal data to be able to provide its services to you and for billing administration. The data we process are:

Personal coordinates

First and last name, Gender, Date of birth, Address, Phone number, E-mail address

Special and/or sensitive personal data

  • Personal data that you provide in person, in correspondence or by telephone, significant to your case.
  • Personal health related data shared by your medical specialist significant to your case.
  • Biometric data, videos, and other data obtained from measurements at the HBCM.

Organization of personal data at the HBCM

Personal data are stored as follows. All case related data are stored anonimously in a numbered data base. Contextual information such as the event history of the case is kept to a strict minimum. The database number of the case is linked to the personal coordinates (see bove) in a master list, which is stored separately, as is the billing administration.

How long personal data are kept at the HBCM

The HBCM does not store your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to realize the purposes for which your data is collected. For the billing administration a 5 to 10 year period for keeping data is mandatory. The anonymized case related data are kept as long as medically relevant (e.g., a musician may in years ahead experience problems for which the existant data may remain significant). If the musician signs an informed consent for allowing the use of the data for scientific research, the data will remain anonimized in the data base as long as scientifically useful. When then the data are no longer medically relevant to the musician, the data will be rendered permanently anonymous by removing the case number from the master list. When then the  mandatory billing administration period for keeping data ends, the personal coordinates of the musician will be removed permanently from the master list and financial administration.

Sharing personal data with third parties

The HBCM does not share your personal information with third parties except with your medical specialist or to comply with a legal obligation. At the website, the website provider uses only technical and functional cookies, and analytical cookies that do not infringe your privacy (see privacy statement of the website provider Jouwweb).  You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view and correct your personal data. You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal case data by the HBCM for research, even after signing an informed consent. Financial administration must be mandatorily kept for a legal period.
